Jared Greenspan
Play-By-Play Broadcaster
Hello, and welcome to my website! I am a play-by-play broadcaster and an award-winning sports journalist who is passionate about finding unique, intricate stories to share with the sports-loving public.
I currently serve as a studio host and producer for Learfield, working with the Vanderbilt Sports Network to engineer Commodores' football and men's basketball games from the network studios in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This past summer, I held a position as the radio voice of the New Jersey Pilots, a storied summer collegiate baseball franchise in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League. In the past, I served as a lead play-by-play announcer for WCBN Sports, the University of Michigan's student-run radio station. During four years with WCBN, I covered dozens of sports in various capacities, ranging from sideline reporter to talk show host to broadcaster, gaining invaluable on-air experience along the way.
I also boast an extensive background in writing, having spent two summers interning for the New York Post's prestigious sports department, where I learned the ins and outs of sports journalism in the throes of a major market. At Michigan, I spent three years on high profile beats covering the Michigan football team for The Michigan Daily and the Michigan men's basketball team for UMHoops.com. At The Daily, I also was the Managing Sports Editor during my junior year, juggling tasks to create a daily newspaper that serves the greater Ann Arbor community.
As you navigate my website, you will see my passion for storytelling spring to life: It manifests itself through an array of compelling articles and vivid broadcasts, supplemented by thorough reporting, engaging interviews and an open-arms embrace of the changing ways of the sports journalism industry.
